ACTC bus service discontinued effective May 2015

The Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (Augsburg, Hamline, Macalester, St. Catherine, and St. Thomas) have discontinued bus service between the campuses. The final day for the ACTC shuttle was May 22, 2015.

The five ACTC schools are located in a vibrant urban setting with many sustainable and affordable transportation options for students, faculty, and staff, including the new Green Line, recently improved local bus routes, and car- and bike-sharing programs.

ACTC and our five schools will continue improving transportation options for students taking classes on other campuses, traveling for internships or community engagement, or simply exploring the Twin Cities. ACTC also supports the schools’ efforts to reduce their carbon footprints and ease traffic congestion.

The ACTC schools will continue to support and work with local organizations, including Metro Transit, HOURCAR, Car2Go and NiceRide to expand the range of affordable, sustainable transportation options.

Last semester, about 420 students cross-registered at an ACTC school. If you have questions or concerns about transportation for cross-registration please contact ACTC, and we will help refer you to the best contact person on your home campus.
